2007 Budget
Highlights
Tewantin State School receives funding from a
range of sources including the Queensland Government, Commonwealth Government and Local
sources.
2007 sees a total of over $555,000 in state and
commonwealth funds issued to the school to support areas such as Literacy and Numeracy
($29,000), Information Technology ($45,000), Groundscare/Maintenance ($23,000) and a
General Primary grant ($109,000). Our school has also been successful in
applying for a Federal Government - Investing in Our Schools grant of $105,000
to upgrade our school Tuckshop.
The three main programs in our budget
(Learning, School Management and School Workforce) received allocations of over
$601,000.

area received an allocation of $80,000 to fund our Curriculum, Indigenous
Education, LOTE, Information Technology and various support programs |

Management: |
This area received an allocation
of $404,000 to fund Administration, Support Officers (eg Guidance), Behaviour Management,
Health and Safety, Prep Class, Special Education Unit and Grounds and
Facilities programs. |

Workforce: |
This area received an allocation
of $192,000 to fund additional staffing for the school in the Teacher, Teacher Aide,
Administration and Groundscare programs. |
